This is the beautiful golf course at the Rancho Bernardo Inn. Our very own Steve Campbell plays this course every monday with the men's club - of which he is the president - a group that consists of 80 to 100 players. At the end of the summer they hold a tournament that proclaims the club champion. This very same Steve Campbell won the tournament and is officially CLUB CHAMPION!!!!
Congratulations :-) He will be in Pittsburgh for the next week for those of you who would like his autograph.

Kaitlyn's dance concert
Kaitlyn was the star of the show tonight at her dance concert with her bright big smile. She loves performing and it was so much fun to see her in her element! She is such the performer. We love her! Avery and Milllie came to watch too. I think Millie enjoyed the refreshments at the end more than anything!

ALOHA!!
Doug and I went to Kauai with my brother and sister in law. Seven days was definately not long enough for our first trip - so I'll recommend 10-12 days for any other first timers!
We definately saw the island and it's true that it is the most tropical - it is incredibly beautiful!
There are amazing waterfalls....
Beautiful beaches......
We definately saw the island and it's true that it is the most tropical - it is incredibly beautiful!
There are amazing waterfalls....
Beautiful beaches......
Look close, there are whales out there.....we saw several from the lighthouse...
Spent a wonderful evening at the luau with 2 more of my siblings and their spouses...
visited an old hawaiian village and learned about alot of customs....
listened to a LOT of roosters from sun up to sun down......
they call it a swinging bridge but it stayed pretty still IF you were on it alone!.....
discovered a very pretty stretch of uninhabited beach while on a bike ride along the coast....
the Hawaiian Grand Canyon was indescribably beautiful, rugged, picturesque, and on and on, the picture does not come close to doing it justice...
beautiful botanical gardens...
and sunrises and sunsets you didn't want to miss!
We were so fortunate to have had such a wonderful visit the week before the Japan earthquake. This island is the least modernized, which being more traditional was a really neat experience. We also realize how blessed we are to live in such favorable conditions here!
We love you all!!

Jane's hip
Hi all,
I am pretty sure that everyone knows that Jane had hip replacement surgery. She sounds like she is doing very well, but I bet she would love to hear from everyone. She will be off from work for a few more weeks, so send her a note if you get a chance.
Zach and his friends learned how to snowboard this winter. His friend Peyton decided that skiing was way more fun, but the boys stuck to snowboarding.
Hope to hear from everyone!
Love, Kate

Our trip to Pennsylvania (late publishing)
Sort of late on the uptake here, but thought we'd post a couple photos from our wonderful trip back east for Shannon and Ryan's wedding. We had a wonderful time and of course, the wedding couldn't have been better. I have to say, Jim's family knows how to party!
We visited Frank Lloyd Wright's Falling Water house and of course we got lost on the way back to the hotel. Apparently, getting lost was our theme for this trip!
We also went to Shanksville to view the site of the Flight 93 crash. Much smaller than I had anticipated but very quite and somber. Much different from Ground Zero in lower Manhattan which was quite loud and busy.
We love seeing everyone and look forward to the next Bradley wedding!

Thanks to Kate, Ron, and Zach!
We had the best Thanksgiving at the Wilson house. See Kate's pictures. Not only was the dinner fantastic, but it was great to see everyone again. Cliff and Lucy look like teenagers since their grandkids keeping them running. And Zach was thrilled to finally have some kids in the house. Of course we finally got a kids table. Tina and I fought over who got to sit with them. She won, only because she has a beautiful new puppy herself. As always, Kate and Ron were gracious hosts. You should see the new fireplace and remodeled bathrooms. Beautiful!
We just attended Jenny Toohey's wedding in Cleveland where a good time was had by all. Since Jen is a popular disc jockey there, the media was out in full force. Cleveland Magazine is doing a spread in January on the festivities. But as her godmom, I just want to say that she was a radiant bride and we are all happy for her. And for us since Ryan and Shannon were there too. They went on to New York to see her family and go to Rockefeller Center for the Christmas show. I also heard they ate pizza twice in one day.
